Reinventing Wedding Traditions

On a sunny day in May, the newly wed greeted cheering guests and bystanders at a city plaza from their sedan chair. Followed by a marching band of trumpet players, the best man and the maid of honor led the parade with a playful mix of traditions, east and west.
